Junior Commercial Controller - Your future position?

As a Junior Commercial Controller, you will be supporting the European Controlling team with analysis, KPIs, system preparation, numeric information, business cases and general controlling to maximize sales and profitability. You will be working closely with commercial teams in all Commercial Finance activities to become a trusted partner and build strong relationships across all areas of the business.

  • Reporting
    • Provide detailed, accurate financial reports and analysis in a timely manner.
    • Monitor overall functional costs (OPEX & CAPEX) and perform FTE analysis.
    • Work closely with Sales and marketing teams, delivering financial and commercial insight engagingly, whilst being pro-active in addressing issues.
  • Drive Commercial Finance Processes
    • Participate in the preparation of training and support to staff in sales and sub regions in the effective use of financial reporting systems to ensure effective control of the business.
    • Provide support across several projects including systems / process implementations to continuously improve our business process and share best practices across the company.
  • Business Partnering
    • Prepare and collect financial information for the sub-regions (Last Estimation & Budget)
    • Provide timely and insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
    • Act as support (business analysis) to the regional  teams
    • Effectively build close working relationships across all business functions and geographies.
  • Desire to Improve
    • Seeking to identify and implement improvements in the commercial reporting process which enables efficient and accurate monthly financial review.
    • Pro-actively suggest technical and process improvements.
    • Support the European Controlling organization in ad-hoc activities

Your professional profile includes:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics / Finance & Accounting; keen to start professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CImA, CFA)
  • Min 2 years of experience in controlling and / or accounting in cross-cultural / international environment, combined with experience in B2B budgeting and planning; additional experience in sales, marketing, operations, also related to FMCG, is a plus
  • Experience in the understanding and effective communication of financial results to non-financial staff
  • Ability to effectively analyze numerical information, present conclusions and recommendations in a clear way
  • Good understanding of financial statements; sound understanding of key financial concepts, solid theoretical background in finance and accounting
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to details 
  • Proficient in the applications of the MS Office
  • SAP (SD, CO, FI) and SAP BI experience 
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills
  • Basic market knowledge (customers, segments, market practices)
  • Fluent in English, any additional language is a plus
  • Mobility – Open to change location to other countries in Europe
