We are recruiting a qualified Patent Attorney (m/f/d) to join our Intellectual Property department.
You will report to the Head of Global Intellectual Property and are based in our office in Zug.
You will:
- Report to and collaborate with the Head of IP to provide legal advice on a range of intellectual property matters
- Manage relationships with personnel in both Science and Technology and adjacent business functions to effectively manage their IP portfolios
- Manage a diverse IP portfolio: Drafting, filing, prosecution and maintenance of a portfolio of patents
- Negotiate and draft IP related aspects of agreements
- Support the Head of IP in leading negotiations to resolve third party IP disputes and other contentious proceedings
- Represent the IP department at Science and Technology management meetings
You have:
- Qualification as a European Patent Attorney or an equivalent national qualification
- Preferably an advanced degree (at least Masters level, and preferably a PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. chemical/biological science)
- Preferably at least 5 years post-qualification experience in either a law-firm or an industrial practice
- Fluent in English
- Preferably substantial practical experience negotiating and drafting intellectual property aspects of collaboration agreements
- Preferably, in-depth knowledge of the fragrance, food and cosmetics industries
